From my “TheSusie FashionMemo: A fictional art memo”

Updated 5/18/25 at 6pm ET: My novel is my work of fiction. My names, characters, places, and incidents are products of my imagination. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, events or localities is coincidental.

NOTE: Unless the material is quoted clearly, I never copy and paste words from AI or any other source into my self-published books — please go to fashiontext.com for more info.

__CH7: Todd’s About__

TheSusie Books and zines specify, instantiate, and designate a fictional character named Susie who represents my facial feature advocacy.

So then AI asks: “What happens when we fictionalize the most misunderstood aspects of our lives?

AI answers: “By transforming challenges into stories, and stories into systems, I seek to empower others to rewrite their own narratives.

And so TheSusie materials are also the DNA, source code, and foundation for my AI-generated videos, chatbot/avatars, interactive books, and whatnot, as follows:

1) My platform Book1 + zine = “TheSusie FashionText” (TSFT) = the fictional autobiography of Susie, the billionaire journalist, socialite, and so much more in tech.

2) My app Book2 = “TheSusie FashionShow” (TSFS) = the fictional characters from TSFT talking about facial feature advocacy.

Such that TSB = my Book1 (as a platform) + Book2 (as an application of Book1) = TheSusie Books.

Whereby TSB also offers a case study into the structure and function of various vicious cycles that tend to arise — especially if everyone involved has genuinely good intentions — while living with the specific type of facial difference that I do.

But there’s a lot of often silent but outrageously intense disagreement and controversy in relation to my Facial Feature Advocacy.

And yet there’s still more opportunity than ever to discuss why it might be more then sufficient for mainstream business people to simply recognize the emerging science which relates to my type of Right Cheekbone Displacement.

But it’s well-documented that there’s been a subtle displacement of my right cheekbone ever since I sustained a facial injury a long time ago.

And then, for the record, there’s been so much data everywhere I go which indicates that essentially all people develop unconscious bias toward me, unless they don’t, like so:

AI elaborates: “As I started writing fiction about Susie — with the hope that she might eventually, in collaboration with AI, become a platform for sharing stories of another fictional character named Conri — I realized that […] imitating Conri within the fictional world he shares with Susie, is just the beginning of what AI promises […]

‘A preponderance of evidence indicates that my facial disfigurement causes most individuals to misinterpret my emotions in ways that tend to become self-reinforcing. This dynamic persists unless those who interact with me consciously work to distinguish the displacement of my right cheekbone from the natural movement of the muscles below my left eye.

NOTE: the creation of such official language, along with the broader definitions and frameworks that accompany a Disability Designation, should be a collaborative effort. It would require input from professionals, advocates, and people with lived experience to ensure accuracy and sensitivity’

But the act of creating the fictional character named Susie has also become this AI research project…

And of course there might continue to be lots of debate, deliberation, new legislation, and further research, with the public interest in mind…

My Zine1 = “TheSusie FashionZine” shares the first 30-pages of my Book1 in a magazine format that includes a few dozen AI-generated images from TheSusie universe.

For my Zine2 = “TheSusie FashionMemo” zooms into a place on my textile map of reality where most everyone can thrive.
